Elgin Pocket Watch 1923

The watch has a 7-jewel stem-winding movement, with nickel finish, which is working nicely. The movement has a Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision, nicely patterned plates and the serial number 26,033,814 dates it back to 1923. The watch measures 45mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is chromium plated and it is beautifully decorated all round. The back of the watch has the initials TFP. There is some light rubbing to the back of the watch but other than that, it is in very nice condition for such an early piece. The lens is in lovely condition. The signed dial is in its original finish. There is a little age related darkening and marking but nothing too serious. Handsome blued steel hands, sunken subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The watch comes in a new presentation box. All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
