An extremely rare Georgian silver decanter label for Brandy. A 'Champaign' was a label used to indicate a fine Cognac of superior quality. This interesting example has a rounded, reeded border and 'Champaign' engraved in the centre. It is supported on a belcher chain and is fully hallmarked to the reverse. A good gift idea for any Brandy drinker or wine label collector. Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Maker :- Timothy Renou. Date :- London 1815.
