Description
A dish with scalloped rim and fluted sides. Gilt decorated handle. Chinoiserie decoration of two fiqures by a pagoda and another punting a small boat. Other pagodas on distant islands. Inner band rim of a geometric design of floral swags, stippling and cross hatching.
Impressed mark of Fell and Co above an anchor.
Thomas Fell established St Peter’s Pottery at Newcastle upon Tynein 1817-1890
