Description
This is a lovely period solid oak cased hall barometer celebrating the centennial of the Great Exhibition of 1851. The silvered dial reads "Fesival of Britain 1951' together with an applied medallion below depicting the emblem - the Festival Star bisecting the date.
The working aneroid barometer has the typical weather predictions with barometric pressure displayed in inches and unusually has an inner circle reading in centimetres.
A fascinating working instrument of British history.
