Description
17th Century style sterling silver nutmeg grater by John Robins, London 1814. It has a steel grill enclosed by a shell, scroll and gadroon decorated frame. The lower cover is hinged, and crested. A partial set of hallmarks is stamped on the inside of this lower cover. The full set of hallmarks is on the main body, beneath the grill. They cant be read except by removing the grill, which I am afraid to do. They can, however, be discerned by peering through the open end.
