Fine Antique Porcelain Figure c.1870

This exquisitely detailed hard paste porcelain figure depicts a young man in C18th dress. He stands before a flowering tree with a rose in his right hand, a tri-corn hat in his left. There is an enormous amount of intricate detailing to the whole figure, even down to the individual leaves on the tree which have all been placed by hand. The polychrome enamels have also been hand painted and are extremely fine. There are also gilt highlights and detailing to the figure which stands on a shaped circular base.
