This is a lovely Edwardian oak and boxwood strung lancet-shaped mantel clock, with a silvered dial and leaded glass panels to the front within a brass frame. The dial has been left deliberately unrestored but the case and movement have been revitalized/serviced and this clock comes with my two-year guarantee as standard. The eight-day German movement strikes the full hour and a single strike each half-hour on a lovely coiled gong. Standing on original bun feet this is a lovely mantel clock.
Clockwise has clarified that the Fine Edwardian Eight Day Striking Clock (LA354264) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1930
Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection or I can deliver regionally. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
