Fine Georgian Drop Dial Fusee Wall Clock

Clockwise is delighted to present for your consideration a fine example of a Georgian eight day drop-dial fusee wall clock. This unusual mahogany example has a 12 inch dial with 'Lock & Son, London' notated to the dial and the clock is carved with flower heads and stylised scrolling acanthus surrounding both the dial and the large lower viewing window. Original high quality hands of the period compliment the appearance as does the original cast brass bezel which locks securely into a tab The recently overhauled and cleaned eight day duration fusee timepiece movement has an anchor recoil escapement and as such benefits from my three year guarantee. The restored case is a standard two-piece design with decorative surround attaching to the back box via four matching wooden pegs. There is an access door to the side of the clock and a door to the bottom of the case.
