Fine and rare design Morning and evening Owl & Cockerel brass candlesticks Attributed to William Tonks of Birmingham
The bases have the registers diamond mark dating the design to the 3 July 1882
The candlestick have a central roundel one portraying Morning with a Cockerel on gate and the sun coming up, the other An Owl on Branch with the moon.
Very well cast and detailed - I have not seen this design before in over 40 years of selling candlesticks.
