These are a fine pair of late 19th Century Victorian antique aesthetic movement Brass fire dogs, Andiron or fire tool rests for a fireplace with the registration number 65699 dating the design to 1886. The base are cast brass and heavy so no need for iron inserts. These have been polished and are in very good condition very well cast and detailed with no repairs.
