This is good quality finely woven Hereke carpet dating from around 1920. This attractive carpet has an unusual and very pleasing colour palette and a very pretty floral design. Scrolling floral sprays in coral, jade and ivory are set within a beautiful indigo blue field and held within coral floral borders. Hereke carpets are known for the fineness of their weave and the softness of the wool used. The carpet is in excellent order, ready to use. It is a great room size measuring measures 317cm by 223cm.
