An elegant mahogany and glass display cabinet by Frederick E. Beale (Showcases) Ltd., London, dating from the 1930s. Beautifully constructed, this piece features a solid mahogany frame with glazed sides and doors, standing on shaped shaped bracket feet. The interior retains its original shelf fittings and polished timber base, designed to accommodate adjustable glass shelves. The original maker’s label, “F. E. Beale (Showcases) Ltd., 175/9 Old St., London, E.C.1.”, remains intact along the interior frame.
A superb example of 1930s English craftsmanship, ideal for use as a retail display, collector’s showcase, or feature cabinet in a period or modern interior. Comes with 3 shelves, original glass.
