Description
On offer is this fine Art Deco 1920s French monkey brooch measuring 3.8cm across the top bar and hanging a total of 7cm. This brooch is made of unmarked but tested sterling silver. The top monkey is seated on a bar. He has plain silver back and the front is marcasite stones with ruby red glass eyes. From the bar hangs a silver chain from which swings a second monkey. This one is decorated all over with marcasite stones to the front and back and also has ruby red glass eyes. The ends of the bar also feature marcasite stones.
This art deco brooch has a strong pin and secure barrel clasp and is offered in very good condition with no flaws noted. Thank you for looking.
