French Empire Clock with Lion

Very attractive and unusual French Empire clock. The body of the clock is constructed from solid brass, painted black, with fire-gilded rococo style embellishments to the base and sides. There is a large, beautifully cast, gilded lion (possibly associated) to the top, giving a charmingly appealing overall work of art. It has a silvered dial with black Roman numerals and finely cut hands. The 8 day movement, with silk suspension, strikes the half-hour and the hour on a bell, with a clear, crisp tone. It has just been fully overhauled by our Bhi registered horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee. A really lovely, one off clock. **All cards accepted**
