The finest quality late 19th century French rosewood bureau de dame. Of the highest grade of construction with stunning rosewood and kingwood veneers onto a mahogany carcas. Of bombe form and decorated throughout with exquisite floral marquetry detailing and panels of parquetry inlay. Further embellished with crisply cast gilt metal mounts. The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior with a sumptuous leather writing surface and a series of stationary drawers. Beneath the fall front there is a single opening drawer. Both the fall and the drawer are lockable with the key supplied. All standing on elegant out-swept cabriole legs. Finished to the rear so that this bureau could be free standing within a room if desired.
