Stunning French Sevres soft paste signed porcelain and ormolu with twin handles modelled as a Satyre, electric table lamp of traditional bulbous form and of outstanding quality, and good size proportions, raised on a square stepped heavy gauge ormolu base with canted corners and beaded detail. Signature indistinct at lower left. The central front reserve depicting a seated Mother and child in 18th Century dress in landscape with a pair of doves on the ground, within a reserve of lavish tooled gilding, back view with a view of a hilly landscape and a lake on a rich cobalt blue ground with gilded highlights.
