Gents Tissot Wrist Watch 1975

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. This is the calibre 2461 which was in production from 1972 until 1980. The movement is fully signed and the serial number dates this particular watch back to 1975. There are a couple of empty retaining screw holes within the movement, but these screws are not required in this instance as the movement is held in place by the retaining ring. The watch measures 34mm wide excluding the winding crown and 38mm high excluding the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. There is general light marking to the case but very acceptable. Signed Tissot winding crown. The lens is in lovely condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and quickset date (initially set by repeatedy pushing the crown). A new leather strap has been fitted.
