Georgian 1830s Pocket Watch Chain Locket Fob Large Antique Gilt & Paste Stone Fob

Georgian Gentleman's large ornate and highly impressive pocket watch chain Antique gilt and bright paste 'diamond' stone locket keepsake/memento fob. C ~ 1830's. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 5.1cm height (including the top ring/bail), 3.6cm width and weighs a very respectable 11.5 grams. Wonderful big circular shaped golden gilt fob set with attractive very bright and clear Antique cut paste 'diamond' stones around the front circumference holding securely to centre the two original bevel edge clear glasses (not acrylic), both of which are in amazing condition with just one or two extremely light and fine little surface scratches showing under eyeglass only. The bezel to the back of the fob is hinged at the 12 position, opens correctly, closing with a very reassuring click and inside is a circular piece of dark green baize which can easily be removed if desired. Originally this compartment would have displayed a lock of hair or keepsake/memento of a loved one (has some tiny little 'teeth' to secure around the inner circumference) and can be used now days to display two photographs. Original golden gilt swivel bail to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain which is also adorned with three graduating Antique cut clear paste stones. Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear or damage and just a tiny (micro again) bit of very light overall patina and little surface scratches (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
