Description
This is a very handsome oak cased Georgian longcase clock and standing 81 inches tall is in excellent showroom condition. Made by Thomas Sone of Fareham and dating from 1780 the four pillar, rack striking movement strikes on a lovely bell and has just been overhauled and fitted with new lines. The brass dial has floral engraving and applied brass spandrels and is 11 inches in diameter having a silvered chapter ring and working date ring to the lower window. A subsidiary seconds dial also adorns the dial which is a particular feature of this lovely clock having been tastefully restored. The hood has turned pillars and brass capitals and a pair of matching weights and a polished brass pendulum complete this piece. For peace of mind this clock comes with my standard two year guarantee.

delivery

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection from my showroom in Tewkesbury or I can deliver regionally free. These clocks need setting up properly so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
