Description
A wonderful early 19th century copper cooking vessel of very heavy duty manufacture. The round body has a large wired edge to the top on the underside of which are a pair of thick brass mounts which give great support for the wrought iron handle. After surviving a lifetime off use, it is peppered with knocks and bruises and was probably buffed up in the 1960/70s when brass and copper enjoyed a boom period. Although it could be used for many things, logs and flower arrangements seem to be the most popular. Cleaned and given a lick with 'Brasso' it is now ready to use and enjoy.
