Charming Light Honey Coloured Oak Longcase Clock circa 1790- 1810 of Typical Late 18th Century Georgian Grandfather Format. Raised on a Plinth with Mahogany Trimmings to the Hood Door. Approx Height 79in or 201cm, Width 49cm, Depth 25cm. Signed J.P. Saddleton, Lynn (for James Parlett Saddleton, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, the White Enamel Painted is unusual as it Does Not Have A False Plate that is Normally Associated with Painted Dials. A cross between Silvered Dials and Increasingly Popular Painted Dials. He was Married in 1798 and worked in Kings Lynn till 1845.
