Georgian Scottish Silver Snuff Box EDINBURGH 1830 Cross & Carruthers

This is a very good George IV Georgian Scottish Sterling silver rectangular snuff box, engraved with scrolling foliage , hinged cover with foliate thumb piece, hallmarked for Edinburgh 1830 by Cross & Carruthers (William Cross and John Carruthers). With initials to the cartouche and a gilded interior. It measures 6 cm x 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm and weighs 43.4 grams. This items condition is very good, the gilt interior is still quite bright, a few internal scratches, light signs of wear commensurate of age and use.
