Description
Rare to find Georgian sword walking stick with silver mounts and a steel blade. Silver button style top with punchwork decoration to the sides and a matching collar between the handle and shaft. All mounted on a two part Malacca cane which retains it's original large brass and steel ferrule. Push fit action reveals a slim Toledo style blade decorated with a small amount of scrollwork which is (26 1/4 inches) 66.5cm long. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

The cane overall is 90cm (35" 7/8 inches) long and 3.3cm (1 1/4 inches) wide at the widest point of the pommel.

Shires Antiques has clarified that the Georgian Silver Malacca Sword Stick c.1800 (LA486158) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1800
condition
Overall the condition is very good, no damage or repairs to the body or blade. Age related marks and light pitting to the blade please study the pictures. The silver has some damage to the edge of the button top and the edge of the collar which has no protection from use over the last 200 years. Could be restored but we've left it as totally original.
