Georgian Style Mahogany Chair Back Sofa

This Georgian Style Mahogany Chair Back Sofa has an abundance of fine carving to elevate the overall design. Of double back form, adding a certain lightness to the piece which would work so well in a bay window or indeed a hallway. Standing on good sized square legs, joined by a stretcher underframe to aid stability. The generously swept arm uprights meet with the arms that terminate in a beautifully carved acanthus leaf decoration. The ladderback arrangement of the sofa back is further intricately carved, adding refinement. The seat is upholstered with a sumptuous blue velvet. Of a relatively compact size, this sofa could be placed in so many areas of the home, to provide a place for both humans and pets to reside, Presented in fully restored condition.
