Georgian Style Walnut Serpentine Batchelors Chest

A fine Georgian-style walnut serpentine bachelor’s chest, of compact proportions, raised on shaped bracket feet. The rectangular top above a brushing slide and a graduated arrangement of four drawers, each fitted with ornate cast brass swan-neck handles and original-style escutcheons. The drawer fronts display attractive figured walnut veneers with crossbanding. Rich colour and good patination throughout, retaining its original polish. A practical and elegant small chest suitable for bedroom, hallway, or living space.
