A mahogany Globe Wernicke Ltd of London barrister bookcase of the finest quality. Although typical of it's manufacture being stackable (breaks into six pieces) it is not typical in another sense. From the upper cornice with dentil moulding and foliate carved scrolls to the two locking door section beneath and three further upper and over leaded glass doors and on to the lower stepped base which also has foliate carvings next to the long drawer. The sides have wonderful reeded pillars with capitals which extend round the corner to the side elevation of five fielded (bevelled) panels. In great condition and ready to use.
