Gold Amethyst Diamond Halo Ring 1986 London

A truly stunning gold ring with natural Amethyst, surrounded by a Diamond halo. The Amethyst in this ring is first rate; beautiful vibrant deep purple colour. It is very clean & clear – a hard to find gemstone. It is deep dark purple with a raspberry hue. We assess as African – probably mined in Zambia. The Amethyst is oval cut & a good size – approximately 0.7 carat in weight. It is eye clean with no inclusions. Very slight colour zoning that isn’t visible without loupe. The ring itself is 9ct 9K gold, fully hallmarked with 5 stamps: Assayed in London, England in 1986 with a makers mark ‘Sj’ in a square. ⭐ It is 9ct 9K gold with full range of hallmarks for London 1987 ⭐ The stage is white gold ⭐ There are 10 brilliant cut diamonds in the halo This ring is vintage & used. It was made in 1987 – it is 36 years old.
