Description
This rare short lived denomination gold coin was struck between 1619 and 1625. The obverse features the fourth laureate bust of James I. The reverse depicts the crown above a square topped Royal Arms shield, with legend "Henry united the Roses, James the kingdoms. James's accession in 1603 united the crowns of England and Scotland though both nations remained separate sovereign states. As well as being highly collectable, this rare coin is of historical significance. Condition: Near Very Fine/About Fine
