Gold Medal Awards Gilt Clock Japy Freres c.1850

This clock is stamped "Japy Freres Medailles d'Or 1823 27 34 39 44 49 Annees". It has an 8 day striking on bell movement with outside count wheel striking the hours and halves in good working order having been checked and oiled. It has a Sevres style cherub / putti centre panel porcelain dial - one very small chip by the "5" of 25 on the outer edge. There is a gilt putti holding cut wheat aloft with two muscian putti celebrating the harvest.
