A fine quality late 19th or early 20th century Austrian cold painted bronze model of a standing pug, looking upwards to the left and wearing a red collar. A particularly well observed and well modelled example, perfectly proportioned with fine detail and with a wonderful facial expression so typical of the breed. Cold painted in naturalistic colours. In completely original antique condition with no signs of over painting or "touching up", this little bronze consequently shows some expected areas of paint loss.
