Description
This is a good quality 19th Century Victorian antique gilt frame in nice original condition dating from around 1870. This has acanthus leaf detail to the corners and reeded and cable detail to the frame.
The frame has an inner gilt slip (with old artist and painting name that could be removed if need be).
measurements
The frame measures 67 cms by 48 cms overall. The aperture is 42 cms by 23 cms with the opening at the back to receive the painting measuring 43 cms by 25 cms.
It is possible to remove the substantial slip so the aperture would then be 46.5 cms by 28 cms with the opening for your painting being 48 cms by 29 cms at the back.
