A lovely Georgian porcelain sugar bowl and cover by Chamberlain's of Worcester, of bombe shape with double ribbed spiral fluting and moulded faux ring handles to the sides. The bowl is slightly waisted and the cover curves up to a plateau, topped with a spiral fluted knop. Gorgeous bright coloured enamel bands of golden yellow and burnt orange, all edged and ornamented in gilt. Stylised gilt and orange sprigs are scattered about the rest of the cover and bowl and the rims, knop and side rings are all gilded. Marked inside the cover in gilt script "Chamberlains Worcester Warranted" and pattern number "219". c.1797-1800.

Condition is excellent with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. There is a slight smear of rogue enamel to the inside of the bowl, a minor imperfection from manufacture.
