This is a stylish early Victorian antique all silver butter spreader. This fine example is in fiddle pattern, with a rat-tail to the reverse of the blade and no engraved initials or armorials. The blade is shaped with a double line of engraved thread pattern and this lovely piece is an elegant and usable item for today's table.
