Handsome Edwardian Silver Inkwell & Inkstand

A handsome hallmarked silver solo inkwell and stand by the renowned Charles Stuart Harris. This wonderful desk piece is rectangular in shape and stands on four shaped feet. To the sides are a pair of good sized loop handles and to the centre is a removable cut glass inkwell in a silver framework. Gadroon detail is found to the rim of the stand and is charmingly repeated to the feet, handles and inkwell frame. The inkwell features Diamond cutting along with notch cutting and cut bands to the shoulders. It is finished with a hallmarked round hinged lid, again with an attractive gadroon boarder.
