Heals Two Door Wardrobe

This is an exceptionally rare oak wardrobe ascribed to Heals. Similar carving can be found on a pair of bed frames of the same period. The carving is based upon the earlier work of Mackay Baillie Scott as is the whole design.(in my opinion ). The oak almost appears to have been fumed with ammonia and has a deep rich chestnut mellow finish and colour. The interior has a shelf and hanging rail. Please see the tie holders as they almost mimic Baillie Scott's organic fireplace No.81 and cabinet handle No.79. To name a few decorative details. The design is in its Simplicity and use of straight vertical lines that any self respecting Architect would have been aware of as would any designer. £125 as found plus postage .as found .Was £400 and more !
