Description
A pair of large hand painted Religious panels on cotton showing the ten commandments with elaborate detailed decorations and many parts heightened in gold, each panel is fixed on the original wooden frame.
A rare and imposing pair with super colours and ready to hang.
measurements
Approx size of each panel is 63 inches high & approx 41 wide.
declaration
Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the Huge Pair of Hand Painted Religious Panels on Cotton of the Ten Commandments c.1850 (LA207940) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1850
condition
As can be seen in the images some wear and damage is present to both panels such as tears to cloth, fraying and loss to edges, small areas of paint chipped and rubbed, discolouring to cotton background, creases to cotton etc.
I have taken plenty of images so please see all images to help with the condition.
Some faults but does add to the overall look and appearance.
Overall the panels are in good original condition.
