Incredible large antique English slate and marble 8-day Mantel Clock c.1880 Very good architectural cased clock Wonderful bronze ormolu mounts Arched top with marble inlay Etched gilt decoration 8-day movement Bell striking Carved detail case Cherub design on the pediment Roman numerals Red marble inlay Dial wonderfully clean and bright Movement circa 1870 Working order Comes with key and pendulum Architectural case design. Wonderful design case standing on cut feet all with a good patina. Very good dial with sought after dial with the black and gold chaptering which is hinged. Bevelled base and arched top. Wonderful patina, this is a very fine example of this type of clock.
