A rarer example of a 'one-piece' case French carriage clock by Japy Freres. A large glass aperture with push button repeating through the glass. An enamel dial with fine 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. The original lever escapement. Signed to the backplate 'Japy Freres Grande Med. Honneur 1855'.
