declaration
Barnaby's of Battle has clarified that the Large Antique French Square Steamer Trunk (LA550539) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1910's
condition
Condition is not bad structurally: it's solid enough though we have braced the base inside where it was split. Hinges replaced. Cosmetically it's quite worn: the fabric is a bit loose or ripped in places (not falling off, though we glued one piece on the back) and has various marks and dings; the colour has darkened in places. Some frayed leather at the top back (see pics). Still a nice, authentic piece and we've priced it for the condition.
location
This Large Antique French Square Steamer Trunk is located in East Sussex, United Kingdom
