Description
This is a fine and large George II antique sterling silver salver made by specialist salver make John Tuite and hallmarked in London 1734. It has a raised Chippendale border and stand on 4 ornate cast silver feet. There is an attractive and vacant central cartouche which has a scrolled surround and inner bead decoration. The salver is in very good condition with no repair or damage just some minor surface marks and a slight wobble. Hallmarks are clearly struck as is the original weight scratch mark. Overall a fine Georgian salver from this specialist silversmith (NB any shadows shown in photographs are merely reflections).
