The watch has a stem-winding lever set movement which is working nicely, it is signed with the names Longines and Baume. The movement also has the Longines winged hour glass logo which was registered in 1889. Baume & Co were based in Hatton Garden, London and were the UK agents for Longines. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. The watch itself measures 55.4mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition. The inside of the hinged case back has the Longines case reference 312102 which dates it back to 1883. The glass lens is in nice condition. The blank dial is in good condition… we would not expect it to be signed Longines or Baume as this space was often left blank for the retailer to add their details. Lever set hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL OF OUR PRICES INCLUDE UK & WORLDWIDE POSTAGE. All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch. We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations. Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red Buy Now button on each listing page. Non-UK buyers are welcome but payment can be made by Paypal only. Please note that we are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
