Description
Large antique oak country farmhouse dresser made in the late 1800's probably. The upper section has three open shelves flanked by two small cupboards, each with a little drawer below and open space above. There's a shaped cornice at the top. The base has three drawers above two doors, with a panelled central section. Decorative brass handles, mostly original, all roughly of the right age. The two sections are separate entities though both are fairly heavy and would require help at your end with our regular courier. Condition is pretty good for the age: structurally it's sound; cosmetically there are plenty of dings and chips etc, as you might expect; some patchiness to the finish and worn areas. Some chips in the moulding which goes around the lower edge of the top (see pics). Right hand top door key hole escutcheon missing, though we have found a suitable replacement since the photos were taken. The locks all work and there are two keys; some of the locks have a preference to which key they like, who knows why..
