Large Antique Pine Kitchen Dining Table c.1900
big plank top refectory type table, made of pine around 1900. There are three drawers on one side. It’s had a lot of wear over the years, giving it a wonderfully characterful feel. The legs and cross bars look almost carved into bone shapes. There would’ve been a long central bar but it would be difficult to replicate the age of the rest of the piece and, as it seems strong enough without it, we’ve not tried. We have, however, replaced the bottom section of two legs and a crossbar’s ends, using oak, as it seemed more in keeping than newly cut pine. It’s finished in oil, to give some protection without too much gloss.
Lovage has clarified that the Large Antique Pine Kitchen Dining Table c.1900 (LA72055) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1900
