Description
Qashqai tribes, Fars province, south west Persia, 1860-1880 period.
The largest I have come across at over 10 feet long.
Filled with peacocks and tribal motifs. Dark blue/black ground. Shekarlu design main border.
Over 30 images. All woolen construction.
All over low pile. Slight end losses. No holes or reweaves. A scarce main carpet of its type with a beautiful overall appearance and look.
