A large antique Victorian folding fruit knife, by John Edward Bingham, a significant figure in the development of Walker & Hall. It features a genuine mother-of-pearl handle, a hallmarked sterling silver blade, and brass liners. A particularly substantial example, with thick mother-of-pearl scales and a silver blade of generous proportions. Supplied in a presentation box, suitable for display or gifting. HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925

Excellent. Clean throughout. The blade operates smoothly, with a firm half-stop at 90° and a firm open position at 180°, with a very strong snap on opening and closing and no blade play. The mother-of-pearl scales show natural blemishes and tonal variation, but no damage.
