Large Inlaid Mahogany Victorian Antique Pedestal Desk

This high quality late 19th Century Victorian antique large inlaid mahogany pedestal desk which has a rectangular moulded top with the original tooled leather writing insert and finished with beautiful satinwood cross-banding, boxwood and ebony string inlay. This sits above a long central drawer over large knee hole and each pedestal has four graduating Mahogany lined drawers. These are all beautifully banded with inlay and have the original decorative brass pull handles. This beautiful antique Victorian desk stands on shaped bracket feet, it is finished on the back so can be placed in the centre of a room if desired and splits into three sections for removal. The Mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
