Description
We have for sale a lovely and very hard to find Victorian large silver and agate sword shaped bookmark by Adie and Lovekin.
This rather unusual large bookmark is in the form of a sword with the grip of the hilt inset with a carnelian stone and the cross guard inset with jet. The blade of the bookmark carries full English Hallmarks for Birmingham 1899, along with the makers marks for the excellent silversmiths Adie and Lovekin.
This large silver book is 4 inches (10.2cm) long and is in a very good to excellent condition other than the surface wear one would expect from a well cared for silver bookmark of this period.
