If you have small rooms or narrow doorways then sadly this beautiful table is not for you! However should you have wide opening doors and plenty of space this table has many uses . It would look stunning in a large hallway or could even be used as a centre island in a farmhouse or Manor kitchen. The table base itself is certainly 17th century but we do feel that the top has been replaced , possibly in the Victorian days, creating a break front edge and a three plank top . The whole frame is beautifully inlaid with ebony panels which is typical of a Flemish piece of that period.
James Ribbons Antiques has clarified that the Late 17th Century Oak Centre Table (LA225402) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 17th Century
Very good. Solid and strong with a good patina.
Please ask for a quote. Ground floor only please as it is incredibly heavy .
