For sale is this silver hand made penannular brooch with a long silver pin, made in the style of the 1st/2nd C. A.D. been made the same way for 2000 years +. It carries 2 indeterminate marks and is possible North African, possibly made sometime in the later part of the 19th Century, but could possibly be considerably older. This brooch is made for use and not ornament, quite crudely or village made and appears to be 800 or 850/1000 silver and would have been used as a cloak pin. Sizes are, oval 4-0 x 3.5 cm and pin 8 cm in length 9cm including the barrel. Inches, 1.5 x 1.25 with the pin being, overall, 3.5 inch.
