Measures approximately 24 cm high and 20 cm long Impressive and really beautiful porcelain figure Classical maiden sitting side saddle on a horse. She has a crown in her hair and is reaching down to her lover as he tries to embrace her. A harp lies at the base Extraordinarily detailed and fantastically modelled. It has a registration mark on the base of 10378 but I don't see any maker's marks. My guess is Italian and it does have some of the qualities of the early and upmarket Capodimonte figures. Very good condition. Minor wear to some of the gilt and possible small nibbles to the ears of the horse but these are really not obviously apparent at all. A genuinely wonderful item.
